Setting up ME-1

The system engineer configures ME-1 to suit

the operating requirements of the user.

8.1 Patching mixer outputs to ME-1

Depending on the connected source you can

patch up to 16 or 40 channels, set stereo

links and send channel names. Examples:

Channels – Typically Direct Outputs set post-

EQ, pre-Compressor, pre-fader, post-mute.

Link – Assign odd/even as stereo pairs.

Groups – Mono or stereo groups if you prefer

to combine sources at the main console.

Auxes – Mono or stereo auxes to create an

independent balance at the main console.

Main mix – To send the console FOH mix.

FOH effects – Combine main mix FX returns

via a stereo Group to send to the musicians.

‘My’ effects – Set up an available FX at the

console dedicated to one musician, for

example reverb for a lead vocalist. Return via

channel Direct Outputs or a stereo Group.

Ambient mics – Set a stereo pair of channel

Direct Outputs for room microphones.

Talk – Talk to musicians via a mono Aux or a

spare channel Direct Output.

Use the I/O / Monitor screen.

Choose ME-1 (40) or Aviom

®

(16) Mode.

Connect Network for stereo links and names.
